FISHING AND SURVEY VESSELS
CI88 is able to identify direction and speed of the current on three different points of sea depth called strata or layers. Thanks to this information it is possible to predict the positioning of the fishing net and its movement. The CI88 is equipped with a triple beam transducer capable of providing highly accurate measurement of current and speed through the water. Thanks to this device it is possible to contrast the effects of rolling, pitching and rising caused by the waves thanks to a precise and reliable datum. If you are in deep waters where it is not possible to detect the depth of the seabed, the data is calculated through the position and speed provided by the on-board GPS, while the direction data comes from the satellite compass or gyrocompass.
VECTORS
The speed and direction of the current for each of the three different layers is displayed graphically as a vector. The depth of each layer can be set manually with one meter interval between one and the other
SPEED AND DIRECTION
CI88 is able to provide sensitive data such as speed and leeway in order to make the best evaluations for tacking operations. Speed is selectable between ground speed and water speed
