Oil detection radar

PRICE : NC

Description

Oil detection Radar

FOIL-200 offers a valuable aid to anti-pollution control thanks to the manual or automatic detection of hydrocarbons dispersed in the sea.
Using advanced algorithms, the FOIL-200 is capable of displaying highly detailed images of the shape and size of the oil spill at a distance of 2 miles.

FOIL-200 is compatible with Furuno X-Band marine radars FAR-15x8, FAR-2xx7, FAR-2xx8, FAR-3000

SINGLE SOLUTION - DIFFERENT APPLICATIONS

The FOIL-200 oil detection radar can be used on a vessel, OFF-SHORE oil rig or port facility with an existing X-band navigation or surveillance radar.

Oil spots can be marked with polygons to make them easier to track. The user can also take screenshots and save radar images to an external hard drive or USB stick for future evaluation or training purposes.

Integrated OSD (Oil Spill Detection System)

The FOIL-200 can be part of an integrated oil spill detection and monitoring system that can be installed and operated on board the ship or in a control center connected to a fixed monitoring station on shore.

The integrated system enables efficient oil spill detection and recovery operations. Oil spill readings received by the FOIL-200 can be quickly verified using the workstation's graphical interface that integrates thermal cameras and oil spill polygons on the same screen.

The system consists of the following subsystems:

  • Furuno radar system (Furuno FAR-2xx7 or FAR-2xx8)
  • FOIL-200 radar
  • Thermal camera
  • Stabilized cooled thermal imaging camera
  • Uncooled thermal imaging camera (e.g. FLIR M-series)
  • FFSS-400 monitoring station
All subsystems are integrated together to establish an effective operating platform for oil spill detection and monitoring activities.

THERMAL CAMERAS INTEGRATION

Stabilized cooled thermal cameras can be integrated into the system.

Supported models are Controp QUAD-2 and DSP-1, which have been installed on several patrol vessels and offshore patrol vessels. Models from other manufacturers can be used upon request, as well as uncooled FLIR M-series models at a lower cost. The thermal imaging camera will be used to verify the detection of oil spots from the FOIL-200.

FFSS-400 monitoring station

The FFSS-400 monitoring station is the system integration center with the following features:

  • Efficient map engine for official ENC charts
  • Radar integration with radar echo display and control to track new ARPA targets
  • Create situational pictures with radar trails, AIS trails, hand targets, and external targets
  • Oil spill detection with display of detected polygons
  • Display of camera direction and zoom area
  • Camera video display with camera control, manual and automatic tracking of the selected target
  • Recording and playback functions with screenshots and videos from the camera of the workstation are saved separately and the recorded screenshots and videos can be exported as encrypted files.
